
- What Type of Counseling Do You Do? - My emphasis is cognitive-behavioral therapy. This means that we discuss your thoughts, actions, and how they relate to each other. The work in therapy is goal oriented, meaning that we will work with small, measurable goals to achieve your desired results.
- What Modes of Theraphy are Available? - I am available to do session in my office, over the telephone, or online. It all depends on what your particular needs are and what you're comfortable doing.
- Do You Take Insurance? - It may be possible for you to receive reimbursement from your insurance company. PleaseClick here for more information.
- Can You Prescribe Medication? - No, only a psychiatrist (someone with an M.D) can prescribe medication.
- Can You Give IQ Tests? - No, only a psychologist (with a Ph.D) can perform those assessments.
- Do You Work With Children? - My practice emphasis is teens and adults. I won't work with anyone younger than 15.
- Did You Know?- It may be in your best interest to consider not using your insurance. Read on for more information.
- Will you refer to me a service that offers something you don't offer?- I am happy to do this for current clients. If you are not a client, then I'm sorry, I am unable to help, as I am not a referral service.
- I'm a student working on a class assignment. Could you answer some questions I have for my paper?- I get this request often and am happy to help.
